Fighting for Farmers

Farmers are the backbone of our rural economy. We need to ensure that they get the support they need from Government so we can ensure the rural economy thrives.

The SNP have shamefully kept farmers in the dark for too long over the future of agriculture policy. Our farmers need certainty, not confusion. Forming a coalition with the extremist Greens adds to the concerns of many farmers. The Green Party’s extreme views are out of touch with the reality of the agricultural industry and out of touch with the challenges faced by rural Scotland.

That’s why I’ll stand up for our farmers to ensure they are supported. This means fighting for investment in rural infrastructure, encouraging new farmers to join the industry, and calling for improvements in rural housing and services.
